Jesus came to save the whole man, body, soul, spirit, financially, family and society. Jesus is the same yesterday, Today and forever! I bring this ministry to share what I have come to know in walking with Jesus 40+ years. |
The night I received Jesus as my Savior He spoke to me saying, "Doug, I don't expect you to be perfect, just TAKE MY WORD and live it as fully as you possibly can." That was the answer I needed.
I started asking Jesus what did you want me to do. I finally surrendered my life to Him for full time ministry, but doubts came in and I told Jesus I need to know, did I call me or did you call me? This was about a year after I was saved. I told the Lord that I was going to open my Bible in the morning for I needed a Word from Him. The first thing I did when I awoke the next morning was grab my Bible and flopped it open and started to read. This is what was before me as I read, "But, rise and stand to your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to which I am sending you, to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to the power of God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me."
I have had no further doubts about God's calling on my life. I surrender my life to Him afresh and anew each day, for if our commitment to Him is over 24 hours old it is too old! By the way the passage Jesus gave that morning was Acts 26:16-18.
Jesus set me free from the fear of death and opened to me the reality of eternal life and life after death. Think about that, we’re going to live forever. It is only our physical bodies that are not eternal. They go back to the ground. When we die we look just like we look now, except a few pounds lighter! That is for most of us. When we go to heaven we will have our spirit bodies. In the future there is also a time when we will receive a glorified body in place of our physical body.
Life after death is hard for those who do not know Jesus Christ to understand. But when they open their hearts and invite Jesus to come in and save them, they will know and begin to understand all God’s blessings.
The night I received Jesus he spoke to me, I heard him on the inside of me saying,” Doug, I don’t expect you to be perfect, just take my word and live it as fully as you possibly can.” That was my burning bush! God talk to me and I knew it was Jesus! I knew I had eternal life! When God speaks to us, usually we hear him on the inside. That is called prophecy. There have been times when God speaks to me to give a message from him to others, sometimes verbally and sometimes he has told me to get up and write what I say. This is the ministry of a prophet I step into when God gives me a message for someone. This is called a prophecy. It is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In John chapter 10 Jesus tells us that we are to know and hear his voice, but few put themselves in a position to hear him.
The night I was saved I told Jesus if you are really God you can give me an answer to an unspoken question I need an answer to. I had just finished reading the New Testament for the first time. I understood if Jesus was real that he was God and knew our hearts and minds. I expected him to speak to me one way or another. Most don’t! After I invited Jesus to come into my heart as my Savior, he spoke to me the perfect answer to my unspoken question. That is when I really knew he was alive and truly God!
Life after death is real, because Jesus is real. He is one with the father, the heavenly father, and the Holy Spirit in perfect unity. He is the God of love! There is only one true and living God. All the others that man claim are gods are made of wood and stone and imagination with lying demons from Satan behind them. They have no power because they are not real. Satan and demons are real but, they are not gods. They are just lying, fallen Angels. Satan can give you some troubles if you listen to his temptations and deceptions. He is a master deceiver. They are all lying spirits destined to hell. When God speaks to us it is always in line with the truth of God’s word, the Bible.
Jesus wants to not only save you, but to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. This is a baptism of love and power to help you come into the fullness of his life and will for you so you can live a victorious life on your way to your home above, forever. With Jesus “today and now” is always his time to save you. He is simply waiting on you to open the door and invite him in! He is there also for your every need give him the chance to prove himself, for he loves you. Amen!
